My Whirlwind Tour

Arizona, SD Caliornia, PS California, and back to AZ in 4 days:

Wednesday I arrived in Scottsdale to stay at a beautiful hotel and participate in the SouthWest HIV Prevention Conferance put on by Body Positive and the Heath Services department. Met lots of wonderful people who do a lot of good in this world, and learned much.

Just as my brain was about to explode from so much input, Sister Odora and I headed off into the sunset and down towards the still smoldering land of San Diego, CA. Which I must admit, is just as beautiful as I remembered it, even after the fires.

We arrived JUST in time to get dressed and meet up with the Asylem of the Tortured heart to celebrate Day of the Dead. What an incredible experience! I dedicated my evening to a young FtM named Ian who recently left this thing we call life and moved onto the next. To learn more about Ian visit woodtv.com

I will send the pics from the event to the Asylum of the Tortured Heart and you can probably see them soon on their website. And afterwards Odora and I had dinner with Sister Iona, and Novices Evalyn, Pixie. Brian's diner brought back memories of times there before I was a Novice myself.

Saturday was spent learning how to better mentor people and help them in their path to become Sisters. Really grateful to Sisters Amanda and Ghana for making that happen. And an evening drive with Odora to Palm Springs where I must admit, I missed out on a bar run to catch up on sleep before pride the next morning.

YUP! Palm Springs Pride! WOW it was amazing. Hot and sunny, but a lovely man from Aids Life Foundation saved my skin with his sunscreen. I think I counted 45 Sisters, but nuns on the run are so hard to keep track of! Seeing a couple Palm Springs Sisters taking their vows was beautiful. I'm sending those pics to the Palm Springs House and you can probably find them on their website soon. I reallyd did have a blast at Palm Springs Pride and of course took some pictures, but mostly I was busy rolling on by people and making them smile or laugh. Fun times!! Hopefully I can get back out there one of these days soon and visit with the Palm Springs Sisters some more!

Afterwards I had lunch with Novice Sister Frankly Trueself before heading out of town with Spiketakiss and back to Phoenix. Of course lunch with a Sister during pride is much like taking Mickey Mouse around downtown Disney, so people wanted time with the Sisters:
